Cross-linking enhances its strength and resistance to heat and chemicals. The inclusion of an aluminum foil layer in XLPE tubing serves multiple purposes

Thermal Insulation: Aluminum foil is an excellent thermal insulator. It helps to maintain the temperature of the fluid inside the tubing, whether that fluid is hot or cold, by preventing heat transfer between the fluid and the surrounding environment.

Barrier to Moisture and Gases: Aluminum foil acts as an effective barrier against moisture and gases, preventing the ingress of external elements that could compromise the integrity of the fluid being transported.

Electromagnetic Shielding: In some applications, the aluminium foil layer can provide electromagnetic shielding, protecting sensitive electronic components or equipment from interference.
